Ex-Microsoft engineers launch social network app built on long-form visual storytelling

Here, we introduce you a new social media app, Pixotale from Pixomobile.

Pixotale allows you to easily combine text with photos, videos, audio and location to create a story that could be shared with other users who can comment or like those stories. Mindblowing!

One of the developer, Mao used to blog and after Facebook and other famouse social media catching up, he stopped blogging and thought what would be the point of all those meaningless friend count.

“However, after a few years I started questioning the value that my precious time on these social media networks brought me,” Mao explained. “In contrast, I wrote a whole lot of thoughts, ideas, stories, and made so many real life friends around the world by blogging. All I got from today’s social media is a meaningless friend count and fragments of status updates.”

This app is free on iOS app which works on iPhone and iPad, which I will be trying out after the post is done! I believe this might be the new way of sharing your stories, but I have to be honest that, it sounds very difficult to use. All those thoughts of cutting videos, adding in effects, and putting musics in, all those editing require to produce a one good story? it might not come very friendly to all users. This app is interesting but sounds difficult to get it started with.
